February 2026 - End-of-Phd funding
Nicolas Vermeersch secured a 6-month end-of-PhD funding from NeuroSchool, to finish his doctorate in the lab.

February 2026 - New grant for the team
The lab obtained a new research grant from Fondation Recherche Alzheimer, to study the role of oligodendroglial cells in Alzheimer’s Disease.
Thanks to the FRA for sponsoring our work for 3 years.
January 2026 - Daniel at the FENS-Hertie Winter School
Daniel attended the FENS-Hertie Winter School 2026 on Single-cell and Spatial Omics to Understand Brain Heterogeneity, in Alicante, Spain. For 5 days, he received practical and theoretical training from experts in the field. This workshop will help him better analyzing his spatial transcriptomic data for his PhD project.
January 2026 - Two new team members!
Shirsha Nandi and Nordine Yahiaoui have joined the lab for 6 and 4 months, respectively.
Shirsha is a master student from Ulm University, sponsored by an Erasmus traineeship. Nordine is a new engineer in the team.

December 2025 - ERC-Cog EpiGlia
Our project Epiglia has been awarded an ERC-Consolidator grant! 5 years to study epigenetics of oligodendroglial cells in Alzheimer’s Disease.

We will be recruiting new colleagues soon!
July 2025 - A grant and a fellowhip!
The lab received a grant and Lucile du Trieu a post-doctoral fellowship from France SEP, to study the role of epigenetic dysregulation on oligodendroglial proteomic turnover.
